For a first visit, choose Annapolis and one additional port instead of chasing mileage. St. Michaels, Oxford and nearby creeks can each anchor a complete weekend depending on conditions and available dockage.
Respect shallow water and summer weather
The bay contains extensive shoal water, busy channels and rapidly building thunderstorms. Current charts, weather awareness and conservative routing matter more than ambitious schedules.
