What Belongs in Every Dock Box

A practical dockside checklist for safety, cleanup and the small repairs that save an afternoon.

A good dock box is organized around problems you can safely solve in minutes—not random gear accumulated over years.

Safety and cleanup

Keep properly sized gloves, eye protection, absorbent pads, trash bags and a compact first-aid kit dry and easy to reach.

Useful dockside tools

A corrosion-resistant screwdriver set, adjustable wrench, pliers, electrical tape, spare fuses and a flashlight cover many minor issues. Match spares to your actual boat.

What stays off the dock

Do not store fuel, volatile chemicals, food or moisture-sensitive electronics unless the marina and product instructions specifically permit it.
